The Ultimate Expression of Analogue Authority & Power Delivery | Available at Trimira Audio
The AVID ACUTUS™ Mono Black & Chrome Reference Turntable represents the highest expression of AVID HiFi’s analogue engineering philosophy, combining advanced mechanical isolation, precision speed control, and uncompromising power delivery.
Finished in a striking combination of polished Chrome plating and deep black accents, the Acutus Mono builds upon AVID’s flagship suspended turntable architecture with a dedicated Twin Mono DSP power supply system designed to provide exceptional motor control and rotational stability.
Featuring a 10 kg damped chrome-plated aluminium platter, dual-operation record clamping system, inverted sapphire bearing, and three-point adjustable suspension, the Acutus Mono delivers outstanding timing, dynamic scale, and microscopic vinyl detail retrieval.
Key Features & Technological Innovations
-
52 kg Twin Mono DSP Power Supply: Dedicated motor drive architecture supplies independent power amplification to each motor coil for improved torque control, speed stability, and reduced motor vibration.
-
Dual-Operation Grounding Record Clamp: Secures vinyl in two stages, improving record coupling while helping transfer unwanted stylus energy away from the playback surface.
-
10 kg Damped Chrome Platter & Resin Surface: High-mass aluminium platter with chrome finish and resin interface provides rotational stability and controlled resonance characteristics.
-
Inverted Sapphire & Tungsten Carbide Bearing: Precision bearing system uses a tungsten carbide thrust point and sapphire jewel interface for low mechanical noise and long-term accuracy.
-
Vibration-Tuned Cast Subchassis: Damped aluminium construction helps dissipate mechanical energy while maintaining structural rigidity.
-
Adjustable 3-Point Spring Suspension: Tuned suspension isolates the playback system from footfall vibration and acoustic feedback.
