JBL’s ultimate home theatre sound system comprises three identical DD66000EB Everest II 'Project' loudspeakers for the left, centre, right channels; eight SK2-3300 dual 10" three-way LCR monitors in the side and rear, and four S1S-EX subwoofers, each housing an 18” sub bass driver. To drive and control all fifteen channels no fewer than eleven individual power amplifiers are employed. Each S820 power amplifier is bridgeable to provide 800 watts of power into an 8 ohm load. Precision high-definition AV routing, room equalisation, speaker calibration and system control are all achieved via a combination of the SDP40HD AV Processor and SDEC4500 12 channel input/20 channel output Digital Equalisation System. Each Synthesis® Everest system is calibrated on site precisely to match room acoustics. The procedure involves the use of eight separate microphones to ensure that the sound at every listening position is perfectly optimised.
